Dr. Todd Baker

Biography

Todd H. Baker is a financial services executive and lecturer at Columbia Law School. His career includes positions in corporate law and C-suite strategic business leadership roles at some of the largest domestic and international banks. Currently, he serves as the Managing Principal at Broadmoor Consulting, LLC, offering strategic consulting services to CEOs of FinTech and financial services companies. Baker is also a Senior Fellow at the Richard Paul Richman Center for Business, Law, and Public Policy at Columbia Business School and Columbia Law School, where he explores issues related to the digital transformation of financial services, including the impact of emerging business models on traditional banks and non-bank financial service providers. In addition to his executive roles, he has a background as a corporate partner at prominent international law firms, representing management boards in corporate matters and leading numerous large-scale M&A transactions. He is a Senior Fellow at the Mossavar-Rahmani Center for Business and Government at Harvard Kennedy School, where his research focuses on the role of FinTech in providing alternatives to payday loans and short-term credit for low-income working Americans.
