Biography

Todd Sulchek is a Professor and Regents’ Innovator at the George W. Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering at Georgia Tech. He completed his Ph.D. in Applied Physics at Stanford University in 2002, and holds an M.S. in Applied Physics from Stanford University and a B.A. in Physics Mathematics from Johns Hopkins University. Since joining Georgia Tech in June 2008 as an Assistant Professor, he was promoted to full Professor in 2019. His research focuses on bioengineering applications, specifically the development of high-speed atomic force microscopy for the measurement of biological systems. Sulchek's work investigates multivalent pharmaceutical targeting of disease markers and quantifies host cell signaling during pathogen invasion. He has trained students in bio/nanotechnology applications in cutting-edge academic, governmental, and corporate research environments. He collaborates closely with esteemed labs, including the Lawrence Livermore National Lab, enhancing methodologies in biomedical applications.
