Biography

Todd Triplett received his Ph.D. in Molecular Immunology from Oregon Health Science University. His doctoral thesis, under the mentorship of Dr. Andrew Weinberg, focused on basic T cell biology and cancer immunotherapy. He conducted research at the University of Texas at Austin in Dr. Lauren Ehrlich's laboratory and was awarded an American Cancer Society Postdoctoral Fellowship to study the role of the tumor microenvironment in supporting T-cell responses in Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (T-ALL). Dr. Triplett's expertise includes elucidating immunosuppressive mechanisms in solid tumors and their impact on the immune system. Currently, as an Assistant Professor at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, he focuses on immunotherapeutic approaches tailored to specific subtypes of hematological cancers. His academic journey has also included substantial teaching experience in basic and clinical immunology to medical students. Triplett's research involves the immune system's interaction with hematological malignancies and the identification of immunotherapeutic strategies relevant to specific cancer types.
