Biography

Tom Bloxham is a Visiting Professor at the Manchester School of Architecture, recognized for his expertise in Urban Regeneration. He is the chairman and founder of Urban Splash, an award-winning regeneration company that has won over 460 awards for excellence in architecture, design, and business success. Urban Splash is responsible for numerous development projects across the UK, including cities such as Manchester, Liverpool, Cambridge, Milton Keynes, Birmingham, Leeds, Bradford, Sheffield, Bristol, Plymouth, North Shields, and Morecambe. In recognition of his contributions to architecture and urban regeneration, Tom was awarded an MBE in 1999. He also holds several prominent positions, including Chairman of the Manchester International Festival and the Manchester United Foundation, and he serves as a trustee of the Barbican since 2021.
