Biography

Tom Ellis is an Instructional Assistant Professor in the Department of Philosophy at Texas A&M University. He is responsible for the overall management and direction of the department's operations, advising on software options, and training faculty, staff, and graduate students in the use of department resources. Ellis oversees the maintenance of hardware and software associated with the department's Logic Lab and trains teaching assistants to utilize the Logic Lab's equipment effectively. He evaluates existing processes to implement plans for employment and facilitates the proper management of departmental resources. Additionally, he manages the department's Colloquia Series and works in consultation with the Colloquia Public Events Committee. He liaises with the Associate Department Head to determine course schedules for both the Graduate Program and Undergraduate Program Advisory Councils. Ellis holds a Master’s degree in Philosophy from Texas A&M University, awarded in 2009. His courses include topics on contemporary moral issues and military ethics.
