Dr. Tom Krejcie

Biography

Tom C Krejcie, MD, is a Professor Emeritus in the Department of Anesthesiology at Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern University. He specializes in clinical pharmacology, focusing on pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics related to drug effects and dose-response, particularly concerning intravenous anesthetics and medical technology. Krejcie completed his medical degree at the University of Wisconsin in 1978, followed by an internship at the same institution in 1979. He then completed his residency in Anesthesiology at Northwestern University, McGaw Medical Center, in 1981, and a fellowship in Cardiovascular Physiology at the same institution in 1982. He is board-certified in Anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology. Krejcie has been actively involved in various professional committees and has held leadership positions such as President of the International Society of Anesthetic Pharmacology. His editorial contributions include serving on the associate editorial board of Anesthesia and Analgesia and as a reviewer for Anesthesiology. Krejcie is also a member of multiple professional societies, including the Association of University Anesthesiologists and the American Society of Anesthesiologists.
