Dr. Tom Mazzone

Biography

Tom Mazzone is an Industry Professor and the Director of the Industrial Engineering Program at NYU Tandon School of Engineering. He holds a BBA from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from EDHEC Business School in France, along with a CPA certificate from the State of Rhode Island. Professor Mazzone has extensive teaching experience, having developed courses for both graduate and undergraduate students, as well as executives in areas such as project change management, product service development, and supply chain operations management. His professional background includes significant international experience in senior executive roles at major consulting and financial firms including A.T Kearney, Ernst Young, and Fidelity Investments, where he worked across Europe and East Asia. He has led large-scale operational technology change programs and has built departments and centers of excellence focused on business transformation and continuous improvement. Professor Mazzone's contributions to the field and his unique blend of industry and academic experience enable him to effectively address the challenges faced by modern industrial engineering professionals.
