Biography

Tom Robson received his Ph.D. in Theatre History, Theory, and Literature from Indiana University in 2011. Before joining Purdue University, he served for twelve years on the faculty of the Millikin University School of Theatre & Dance. His primary research interest lies at the intersection of Disney theme parks and performance studies. Tom has authored several books, including 'Performance Disney: The Theme Park Experience as Tourist Actor' (Palgrave MacMillan, 2019) and is set to release 'Disney Parks Construction and American Identity: Tourism, Performance, and Anxiety' with Lexington Books in 2024, co-written with Jennifer Kokai.
