Biography

Tom Sanders is a Senior Research Fellow at the Mathematical Institute of the University of Oxford, where he is also a Royal Society University Research Fellow and a Tutorial Fellow at St. Hugh's College. His research spans various areas of mathematics including algebra, analysis, combinatorics, geometry, and number theory, with a particular emphasis on utilizing tools to address problems in additive combinatorics. After completing his PhD, his focus has been on additive combinatorics and its allied areas such as harmonic analysis and analytic number theory. He has received several notable awards throughout his career including the Adams Prize in 2011 and the European Prize in Combinatorics in 2013.
