Tom Sullivan is a Teaching Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at Carnegie Mellon University, where he also holds a courtesy appointment as a Lecturer in the School of Music for the Music Technology BS and MS programs. He teaches several courses, including an introductory ECE course and the ECE Senior Capstone Design Experience, and has a strong commitment to STEM outreach for K-12 students, particularly in under-represented communities, encouraging them to engage with ECE applications in music and media. In his spare time, he enjoys playing guitar, bass, ice hockey, and distance running.
