Dr. Tom Veeger

Biography

Tom Veeger is a practitioner and theorist in the fields of architecture, art, and design, and serves as a lecturer at the School of Architecture, Eindhoven University of Technology. He completed his master’s degree and established a studio specializing in art and stage lighting design, undertaking numerous projects in art spaces, museums, and galleries both in the Netherlands and abroad. His professional experience spans multiple decades, allowing him to develop a deep understanding of projects within conventional architectural contexts. He has held senior architect positions at prominent architecture firms and has designed projects ranging from hospitals and schools to office buildings and large-scale housing developments. Throughout his career, he has received multiple awards for his architectural projects. For a decade, he operated his own studio as an architect and designer, securing several major commissions and exhibiting extensively. He has played active roles in curation and production of exhibitions and events, and in recent years has taken on roles as a curator and artistic director. His specialties include cross-over projects combining art and architecture, architectural design, fine art, interior design, and lighting design, as well as lecturing on art, architecture, and lighting workshops.
