Biography

Tomas Maltby is a Reader in International Politics at King’s College London. His research primarily focuses on issues related to climate energy policy. He completed his BA in International Relations at Leicester University before moving to Sheffield University to undertake an MA in Research Methods in Politics and International Relations. He received his PhD from Manchester University and began his work at King’s College London in September 2014. Prior to this, he taught at the Institute of European Studies, part of Vrije Universiteit Brussel. Tomas's research addresses the complexities of agenda-setting, policy making, and the drivers and obstacles to energy transitions, alongside studies of climate scepticism and air pollution policy. He is involved in various research groups focused on European foreign policy and environmental public policy, contributing to enhancing understanding of the interplay between climate change, policy, and public discourse.
