Biography

Tomaso Poggio is the Eugene McDermott Professor in the Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences at MIT and a director of the NSF Center for Brains, Minds and Machines. He is a member of the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory and the McGovern Brain Institute. Poggio has made significant contributions to computational neuroscience with a focus on biophysical and behavioral studies of the visual system and the computational analysis of vision and learning in both humans and machines.
