Tommaso Ferretti’s research is situated at the nexus of international strategy, sustainability innovation, and global governance. Tommaso holds an LL.M. from the University of Pisa, an M.P.A. from LUISS University, and completed a Ph.D. in Management at McGill University. Before his Ph.D., Tommaso was a consultant for the International Trade Centre, which is a joint agency of UNCTAD and WTO based in Geneva, Switzerland. He has managed projects aimed at boosting sustainability and inclusiveness in agro-industrial global value chains across various sectors, including cocoa in Ghana and iron and steel in Zimbabwe. He also collaborates with the International Trade Centre as a special advisor on SMEs’ access to finance and has co-authored the latest edition of the International Trade Centre’s Coffee Guide, which is considered the world’s leading handbook for practitioners and policymakers in the coffee industry. Tommaso has held multiple managerial positions in the private sector in Italy and Spain.
