Biography

Tommy Dickinson is a Professor of Nursing Education at King's College London, where he leads the Master of Nursing program. With a clinical background in mental health nursing in both the UK and Australia, he transitioned to academia in 2006 and has been instrumental in advancing nursing education since joining King’s in 2016. His research focuses on enhancing diversity and inclusion in healthcare education, particularly for LGBTQ+ individuals and older adults in care settings. He is also an Honorary Professor at Queen's University Belfast and received the prestigious Talbott Visiting Professorship from the University of Virginia in 2018. Beyond academia, Tommy runs a coaching practice for adults with ADHD. He has a PhD in Nursing from the University of Manchester and has held various editorial roles in prominent nursing journals. In 2021, he was awarded a Fellowship by the National League for Nursing and was selected as a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing.
