Biography

Tong Zhou received a B.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering Instrumentation from Tianjin University in July 1989. Subsequently, she attended the University of Virginia, where she earned an M.Sc. in Biophysics in 1992, an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering in January 1993, and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering in January 1995. In the summer of 1995, she was a visiting researcher at the Tokyo Institute of Technology. Since September 1995, she has been at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Georgia Tech, serving as an assistant professor from 1995 to 2000, an associate professor from 2000 to 2005, and a professor from 2005 to present. Zhou is a member of the Center for Signal Image Processing at Georgia Tech. Her research interests include statistical signal processing, signal processing communications applications, crest factor reduction, power amplifier linearization, nonlinear system analysis, and seismic deconvolution.
