Toni L. Griffin is a Professor of Practice in Urban Planning at Harvard Graduate School of Design and a faculty affiliate of the Bloomberg Center on Cities. Her teaching includes multidisciplinary option studios and seminars on gentrification and neighborhood change. She has coordinated foundational core studios in the Master in Urban Planning program and directed research initiatives examining the impact of design on social and spatial justice in cities. With a background in architecture and urban planning, she has authored articles on design justice, holds the Edmund N. Bacon Urban Design Award, and was honored with the 2024 Women in Architecture Award. Griffin has lectured internationally and was an appointee to the U.S. Commission of Fine Arts from 2016 to 2020.
