Dr. Tony Rosales

Biography

Tony Rosales, DNP, RN, FNP-BC, CNS, LCDR, USN (Ret.) is a Clinical Associate Professor and Program Coordinator for the Online Nursing Informatics Program at the Hahn School of Nursing and Health Science, University of San Diego. With 25 years of experience as a registered nurse and retired naval officer, he is a board-certified family nurse practitioner and an emergency care clinical nurse specialist. Dr. Rosales has extensive clinical experience in emergency care, family practice, and cosmetic dermatology. He is involved in multiple start-up practices, including one of the nation’s largest aesthetic practices, and he provides mentorship and consulting to medical groups. Dr. Rosales has conceptualized and implemented urgent care facilities in various emergency departments, managing administrative aspects such as root cause analysis, process improvement, and healthcare policy. He is recognized as one of the nation’s top injectors of neurotoxins and dermal fillers and has provided aesthetic services to thousands of patients while training and mentoring other providers on the West Coast. His academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Oklahoma, a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas, and a Doctorate in Nursing Practice from the University of San Diego, where he graduated with a 4.0 GPA. He is a proud member of Sigma Theta Tau nursing honor society and has received multiple military awards during his 21 years of active service in the Naval Corps.
