Biography

Torsten Brezesinski is a Group Leader in the Next-generation Battery Materials Research Unit at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, working at the KIT/BASF Joint Laboratory. He completed his Ph.D. at the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces and the University of Potsdam in 2005 under the supervision of Prof. Markus Antonietti. His research focuses on the characterization and preparation of next-generation battery materials, particularly exploring the structure-property relationships of polymer-templated mesostructured metal oxide thin films. He has been actively involved in editorial responsibilities for various scientific journals and serves on multiple advisory boards. His collaborations include significant postdoctoral research at leading international institutions, where he further established his expertise in battery materials and electrochemistry.
