Dr. Torsten Kehler

Biography

Torsten Kehler has taught at various universities and colleges in Canada, Denmark, and Finland. His dissertation focused on the emotions in literature, discussing influences from Greek thought during the Renaissance, particularly in Shakespearean drama. His academic interests encompass a wide range of topics including Shakespeare, Machiavelli, early modern political thought, revenge tragedy, and the classical backgrounds of Greek drama. Additionally, Kehler explores genres such as film noir and crime fiction, with a specific interest in the works of Alfred Hitchcock. Throughout his career, he has developed a strong commitment to teaching literature and facilitating critical discussions amongst students.
