Biography

Touria Boumehdi serves as an Advanced Lecturer at the Stanford Language Center. With over 31 years of professional academic experience, she has taught both undergraduate and graduate courses in Modern Standard Arabic and Spanish, including accelerated intensive offerings. She introduced a new course focused on 'Aljamía' language and literature, studying and analyzing aljamiado manuscripts. Additionally, she achieved an MBA in International Marketing from the Toulouse Business School and has six years of experience as an Export Manager across three French technology firms. Dr. Boumehdi has published a doctoral dissertation in Spain in 2012 on Aljamiado manuscripts and has been certified as an ACTFL OPI/WPT Tester in Arabic. She actively participates in research and advisory groups at Stanford, demonstrating a commitment to scholarly excellence in her field.
