Biography

Tovi Grossman is a professor at the Department of Computer Science at the University of Toronto, where he applies his expertise in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) to understand how emerging technologies can be used to enhance user experiences. His research has led to several commercial products widely used, including Autodesk Screencast and Autodesk Sketchbook Motion, which won Apple's 2016 iPad App of the Year. He has served in multiple prominent roles, including as Technical Program Co-Chair for the ACM CHI Conference, while continuing to actively collaborate with industry partners in Toronto's HCI research landscape. His current research interests span Intelligent User Interfaces, Human-Robot Interaction, and Mixed Reality Interaction, with an emphasis on innovative Input Techniques. As a leader in his field, he also mentors students and researchers, contributing to the development of the next generation of HCI scholars.
