Dr. Travis Whetsell

Biography

Travis Whetsell is an Assistant Professor at the Jimmy Rosalynn Carter School of Public Policy, where he specializes in Public Policy and Management. He holds a Ph.D. in Public Policy Management from Ohio State University, an M.P.A. from Texas State University, and a B.A. in Political Science from Texas State University. His areas of expertise include Applied Quantitative Methods, Bibliometrics, Scientometrics, and Democratic Governance, among others. Whetsell's research interests are diverse, encompassing Network Governance, Network Interventions, and Science and Technology Policy, with a particular focus on how these elements intersect within public administration. His work often addresses issues of International Research Collaboration, Interorganizational Networks, and Philosophy related to Technology and Policy Analysis. In addition to his research, he teaches various courses related to Policy Analysis and Public Management. Whetsell has also engaged in studies about Science, Technology, and Innovation Policy, focusing on how these areas impact governance and community issues.
