Professor Darrell is a member of the Computer Science Division at the University of California, Berkeley. His research group develops algorithms that enable visual recognition across various platforms and applications. His areas of interest include computer vision, machine learning, computer graphics, and perception-based human-computer interfaces. Professor Darrell was part of the faculty at the MIT Electrical Engineering and Computer Science department from 1999 to 2008, where he directed the Vision Interface Group.
