Biography

Trevor Flood attended the University of Ottawa for both medical school and residency in Anatomic Pathology. He completed a fellowship at Harvard Medical School while working at Brigham Women’s Hospital, specializing in Genitourinary Pathology. Dr. Flood returned to Ottawa as an Assistant Professor in Anatomic Pathology and serves as the Genitourinary Subspecialty Lead. His research interests primarily focus on identifying morphologic and molecular prognostic features associated with prostate, kidney, penile, and bladder cancers. His projects are centered on histologic features recognized in biopsies and/or oncologic resections that ultimately correlate with tumor stage, disease recurrence, and cancer-specific mortality. Dr. Flood is also interested in utilizing technology to enhance the practice of anatomic pathology, aiming to integrate a multidisciplinary approach to solving genitourinary oncology issues in collaboration with diagnostic radiologists and surgeons.
