Biography

Dr. Trevor Steve completed his MD at the University of Saskatchewan in 2008 and subsequently undertook Neurology Residency training at the University of Alberta, obtaining his FRCPC in 2015. He completed a one-year fellowship in Epilepsy and Electroencephalography at the University of Alberta and earned his PhD in Experimental Medicine in 2018. Currently, he serves as an Assistant Professor in the Division of Neurology within the Department of Medicine at the University of Alberta. His clinical interests include general neurology, urgent neurology, and epilepsy electroencephalography, with specific research focus on brain mapping and the cytoarchitectural and myeloarchitectural definitions of brain regions applied through MRI methodologies. Steve is in the process of developing potential MRI-based biomarkers for Alzheimer's Disease utilizing the ADNI database. He also coordinates a course for Off-Service Residents rotating through the Neurology service at the University of Alberta and lectures annually on various topics, particularly seizures and epilepsy.
