Biography

Tristan Collins joined the mathematics faculty as an Associate Professor in September 2023. He earned his Bachelor of Science at the University of British Columbia in 2009 and completed his PhD at Columbia University in 2014 under the direction of Duong H. Phong. Following this, he held a four-year appointment as a Benjamin Peirce Assistant Professor at Harvard University and then served as an Assistant Professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His research focuses on problems at the intersection of geometric analysis, partial differential equations, and algebraic geometry. Collins has received several notable awards, including the Sloan Research Fellowship in 2018 and the André Aisenstadt Prize in Mathematics in 2021.
