Dr. Tristan Tham

Biography

Tristan Tham is an Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) surgeon and Assistant Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery at Stanford University School of Medicine. Born and raised in Singapore, he earned his medical degree with honors from the Royal College of Surgeons and received the Norman Rae Gold Medal for academic excellence. He began his career as a junior doctor at Singapore General Hospital, where he was honored with the 'Heart Gold' Award for achieving the highest patient satisfaction ratings. Dr. Tham pursued further research training at the New York Head & Neck Institute and was eventually promoted to Director of Patient-Oriented Research. He completed his residency in ENT surgery at several prestigious hospitals in New York City and was selected for membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. His clinical practice involves treating a wide range of head and neck disorders, including sinus issues, obstructive sleep apnea, and various tumors. Dr. Tham's contributions to the medical field extend beyond clinical practice; he has authored 180 publications and abstracts and serves as an Associate Editor for the journal Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery. He is actively involved in pro bono medical missions in underserved regions and enjoys reading, weightlifting, and exploring the outdoors with his wife and son in Northern California.
