Dr. Trond Ulven

Biography

Trond Ulven is a prominent Professor of Medicinal Chemistry at the University of Copenhagen, specializing in the design, synthesis, and evaluation of drug discovery tools. His research primarily focuses on G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs), particularly free fatty acid receptors, which are recognized as promising drug targets for treating inflammation and metabolic diseases. He has an extensive background in medicinal chemistry, with significant experience in developing efficient and greener synthetic methods. Ulven's academic journey includes key positions at the University of Southern Denmark, where he held professorships and contributed to interdisciplinary research in pharmacology and chemistry.
