Dr. Trudy Watt

Biography

Trudy Watt is an academic director for the Master of Science in Design + Innovation program and serves as the Kay Vaughan Innovation Fellow at the School of Human Ecology, University of Wisconsin–Madison. She is dedicated to advancing compassionate, design-driven collaboration to promote equitable well-being and a regenerative future. Her work focuses on creating platforms, programs, and projects that bridge disciplines to center human and planetary flourishing. Watt has been actively involved in various publications and lectures that explore the intersections of design, education, and social justice. Her approach emphasizes the importance of transdisciplinary, life-centered design in higher education, and she is committed to fostering inclusive learning environments through her teachings and initiatives.
