Biography

Trung Q. Duong is a Canada Excellence Research Chair at Memorial University of Newfoundland and a distinguished expert in telecommunications systems. His research focuses on quantum machine learning, optimizing signal processing, and advanced wireless communications technologies including 5G and 6G. With over 500 publications and more than 20,000 citations, he has established a strong academic presence, highlighted by an h-index of 76. He has received several prestigious awards including the Royal Academy Engineering Research Fellowship and has secured more than $54 million in research grants from various national and international funding bodies. Duong serves as an editor for major technical journals and has been recognized as a Fellow of both the IEEE and AAIA, signifying his significant contributions to the field.
