Professor Dr. Tuhan Sapumanage

Biography

Tuhan Sapumanage is a Teaching Assistant at University College London (UCL) in the School of Management, where he supports the MSc Business Analytics program and specifically the Programming Business Analytics module (MSIN0143). He has experience at Sony Europe in building automation platforms for machine learning data engineering and productionizing cutting-edge models that enhance forecasting accuracy and runtime. With a decade of experience in AI/ML, data, and software development, combined with business roles in product management and strategy, he has demonstrated significant contributions recognized by global institutions including the United Nations Development Programme, the British Computer Society, and IEEE. He has a BSc (Hons) in Computing and is pursuing academic interests with an LL.B. His background includes over four years as a senior lecturer in higher education, where he trains both technical and non-technical professionals to apply AI/ML in solving practical business challenges.
