Dr. Tung Hui Hu

Biography

Tung-Hui Hu is a poet and scholar specializing in digital media. He has received prestigious awards such as the Rome Prize and the National Endowment for the Arts fellowship, as well as the American Academy Berlin Prize for his research. Hu is the author of the books 'Prehistory Cloud' (MIT Press, 2015), which was described by the New Yorker as 'mesmerizing' and 'absorbing,' and 'Digital Lethargy' (MIT Press, 2022), which explores themes of burnout, isolation, and the disempowerment of the digital underclass. His poetry collections include 'Book Motion' (2003), 'Greenhouses, Lighthouses' (Copper Canyon Press, 2013), and the chapbook 'Kepel Fruit' (Albion Books, 2017). His poems have appeared in notable publications such as the Boston Review, New Republic, and Ploughshares, and he is featured in the anthology 'Family Resemblance: Anthology Exploration Hybrid Literary Genres.'
