Biography

Tyler Chamberlin is an Associate Professor at the Telfer School of Management, University of Ottawa. He completed his B.Sc.Soc. at the University of Ottawa and earned his Ph.D. from the University of Manchester, where he also collaborated as a Research Fellow at the ESRC Centre for Research Innovation Competition (CRIC). Since joining Telfer in 2002, Tyler has focused on international business, corporate strategy, and the management of technology firms. He is an active member of the Innovation Systems Research Network (ISRN) in Canada, where he investigates the interactions between social dynamics and economic performance in the context of innovation and creativity in city-regions. He has participated in a Major Collaborative Research Initiative (MCRI) worth $2.5 million that ran from 2006 to 2010, emphasizing the impact of supply chain innovation. Over the past seven years, he has published extensively in refereed journals, contributing valuable insights into university mission alignment and technological forecasting in social change. Current funded research includes a SSHRC Partnership Grant aimed at enhancing research innovation capacities within the social sector.
