Biography

Tyler Marie Kiles, Pharm.D., MPH, BC-ADM, is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the College of Pharmacy at the University of Texas at Austin. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Houston College of Pharmacy and completed a PGY-1 Community-based Pharmacy Residency at Mercer College of Pharmacy and Rite Aid in Atlanta, GA. Following her residency, Dr. Kiles served as Assistant Manager at Kroger Pharmacy in Houston, TX, and completed a post-doctoral Academic Pharmacy Fellowship at the University of Houston College of Pharmacy. Dr. Kiles is a Board Certified Advanced Diabetes Management (BC-ADM) specialist with expertise in community pharmacy, social determinants of health, and innovative teaching and learning methods in pharmacy education. She is committed to advancing patient care and pharmacy education and is actively involved in mentoring Pharm.D. students in interprofessional curriculum settings. Dr. Kiles teaches various courses, including Pharmacy Practice Labs and Non-prescription Pharmacotherapy. She has earned several awards for her contributions to pharmacy education and is recognized for her leadership and commitment to health disparities and cultural competence within the profession.
