Biography

Tyler is a Doctoral Researcher at University College London’s Department of Experimental Psychology and a Visiting Researcher in the Organisations and Innovation Group at the UCL School of Management. Before embarking on his doctoral journey, Tyler spent a decade working in the industry, including a three-year tenure at Meta, where he led the Future Work & Team Effectiveness programming for Meta’s 70,000+ employee workforce. His research focuses on how the growing salience of political identity reshapes collaboration within organizations. He studies the unique tensions that arise when colleagues hold opposing ideologies and the trade-offs people make in response, as well as the downstream effects on organizations. Tyler received his MSc in Applied Behavioural Sciences with a concentration in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from the University of Baltimore and holds a BSc in Psychology from Illinois State University.
