Biography

Tynan Stevens is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Dalhousie University. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Medical Physics from Dalhousie University and has extensive training in the field, including a residency in Medical Physics at the University of Chicago. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Honors Physics and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, both from Dalhousie University, as well as a Master of Science in Medical Physics from Dalhousie University. Tynan's research interests focus on Image Guided Radiotherapy, Artificial Intelligence, and Stereotactic Radiotherapy, contributing to the advancement of medical imaging techniques and radiation physics. He has published research addressing various aspects of radiation treatment, including innovative methods for prostate motion monitoring and quality assurance in imaging. Tynan has received the Nova Scotia Health Research Innovation Catalyst Award in 2023 and has been involved in multiple research grants aimed at enhancing technology in medical physics. He actively participates in program reviews and serves as a reviewer for academic journals.
