Udaya Annakkage has over 30 years of experience in teaching, research, and consulting within the field of Electrical Energy Systems. He obtained his B.Sc. (Eng.) degree in 1982 from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka, followed by his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST), U.K., in 1984 and 1987, respectively. Udaya also held the position of Head of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the University of Manitoba from 2008 to 2012 and again from 2020 to 2021. He continuously fosters graduate student opportunities within his research domain.
