Biography

Udisha joined the Department of Geography at King’s College London in September 2025 as a Lecturer in Human Geography. She previously held a lecturer position at Monash University where she coordinated core Master’s courses on Corporate Sustainability and Sustainability Measurement. Udisha received her Ph.D. in Geography from the University of Cambridge in 2023, where her research analyzed the entanglements of governance, finance, and local agency in shaping Himalayan hydropower landscapes. She also holds a Master's in Public Policy from the National University of Singapore (2014) and a BA (Hons) in Mathematics from St. Stephen’s College, University of Delhi (2011). Her research has been published in various journals including Environmental Science & Policy and Energy Policy. Her research interests include climate resilience, environmental governance, transboundary conflict, and sustainable development. Udisha's work focuses on the intersections of climate, society, and development, with extensive fieldwork conducted in South Asia. She explores the social, financial, and institutional factors that shape climate resilience and equitable environmental outcomes.
