Biography

Ulrich Abram is a retired professor specializing in Inorganic Chemistry and Radiochemistry at the Freie Universität Berlin. Abram's academic journey began with a Diploma in Chemistry from the University of Leipzig in 1982, followed by a Doctoral thesis at the Institute of Nuclear Research Rossendorf in 1985. He became a Senior Scientist at the same institute from 1982 to 1991 and later completed a Habilitation in 1990. He held a Heisenberg fellowship at the University of Tübingen from 1992 to 1996 and was an Extraordinary Professor there in 1997. From 2000 onwards, he served as a Professor at the Institute of Chemistry and Biochemistry of Freie Universität Berlin. Abram was appointed Director of the Institute from 2008 to 2012 and subsequently held the position of Vice Dean for Student Affairs from 2013 to 2016, and Dean of the Department from 2017 to 2018. His research interests include technetium chemistry, Coordination Chemistry, and the applications of metal complexes, among other topics.
