Biography

Ulrich Pidun studied Chemistry and Mathematics at Philipps University of Marburg and Imperial College London. He earned his doctorate at Philipps University of Marburg in Theoretical Chemistry in 1997, graduating summa cum laude. In 2000, he received a Master of Business Administration from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, where he was awarded the Henry Ford II Prize for being the best graduate. Ulrich has held teaching positions in Strategic Management at various institutions, including the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), RWTH Aachen, and TU Bergakademie Freiberg. In 2015, he was appointed Honorary Professor for Corporate Strategy at TU Berlin. His teaching experience includes courses on Instruments of Strategic Management, when he was recognized for the best course in 2014. He has also provided guest lectures at numerous German and international universities on topics like Corporate Portfolio Management and Corporate Governance, and has been involved in professional practice with the Boston Consulting Group since 1997 as a Director, focusing on Corporate Strategy, Growth Strategies, and entrepreneurial projects.
