Dr. Ulrike Heuer

Biography

I am an Associate Professor in the Philosophy Department at University College London (UCL). Before joining UCL, I was an Associate Professor at the University of Leeds and an Assistant Professor at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. My academic journey includes fixed-term positions at Columbia University, Barnard College in New York, and Balliol College, Oxford. I served as a faculty fellow at the Safra Center for Ethics at Harvard University from 2008 to 2009 and at the Murphy Institute for Public Affairs at Tulane University from 2003 to 2004. I participated in an ERC funded project on Distortions of Normativity as a Guest Research Professor at the University of Vienna from 2014 to 2015. In 2013-2014, I received a mid-career fellowship from the British Academy to explore the normative significance of intentions in my research.
