Biography

Ulrike Thuerheimer is an Assistant Professor at the Amsterdam Business School, University of Amsterdam, where she joined in March 2022. She is also a Research Fellow at the Tinbergen Institute, starting in 2025. Before her current role, she was a lecturer (Assistant Professor) at the UNSW Sydney School of Accounting from 2020 to 2022. Ulrike completed her PhD in Accounting at Maastricht University in 2020 and holds an M.Sc. in Business Research (Accounting) and a B.Sc. in International Business from Maastricht University. Her doctoral research included time spent as a Doctoral Research Fellow at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College in 2018-2019 and as a visiting PhD student at UNSW in 2017, 2018, and 2019. She is a co-initiator of the Amsterdam Accounting Impact Center (AAIC).
