Biography

Ulysse completed a Bachelor of Science at the University of Melbourne, followed by Honours in Biomedicine at Florey, where he investigated the intergenerational impacts of paternal stress under the supervision of Dr. Terence Pang and Prof. Tony Hannan. He pursued a PhD in the Department of Psychiatry, guided by Prof. Christos Pantelis, A/Prof. Jess Nithianantharajah, and Dr. Sandra Luza Cornejo. His PhD research focused on characterizing adolescent developmental trajectories in the mouse hippocampus, specifically examining the effects of cognitive training and maternal immune activation, with a strong emphasis on proteomic changes. Ulysse has received multiple travel awards to facilitate overseas research at the University of Glasgow and to present his findings at international conferences. He is currently working as a postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Psychiatry at Monash University, where he critically evaluates animal models of psychosis while building an online resource for researchers.
