Dr. Urban Strandberg

Biography

Urban Strandberg is a Senior Lecturer in Political Science at the University of Gothenburg and the Managing Director and Co-Founder of the International Youth Think Tank. His scholarly work primarily focuses on public policy and constitutional policy, with a special emphasis on local government and democracy. Strandberg has contributed to various research areas including high-level radioactive waste management and the implications of big data in political science. He has been involved in teaching European Studies at both BA and MA levels, presenting topics such as proportionality in law and the challenges of marketization in the public sector. His extensive publication record includes articles in prominent journals and contributions to anthologies on the challenges of nuclear waste management and the dynamics of political legitimacy in Scandinavian democracies. In addition, Strandberg actively engages in discussions surrounding citizens' rights and administrative autonomy within local governance frameworks.
