Biography

Vadim L. Geurkov received his M.A.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from Georgian Polytechnic University in Tbilisi, Georgia in 1981, followed by a Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering from the Institute of Control Science in Moscow, Russia in 1993. He began his career as a Design Engineer and then became a Senior Hardware Firmware Developer at the Institute of Automation and Elva Inc. in Tbilisi, Georgia from 1981 to 1998. Subsequently, he served as a Professor at Centennial College and Seneca College in Toronto, Canada from 1998 to 2000. In August 2000, he joined Toronto Metropolitan University as an Associate Professor. His research primarily focuses on built-in self-test, built-in self-repair, reconfigurable computing systems, digital mixed-signal systems testing, testable design, self-diagnosis, microprocessor-based measurement instruments, fault tolerance, and error-control codes.
