Biography

Vahid Sadeghian is an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Carleton University. He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science from the University of Tehran and both a Master of Applied Science and a Ph.D. from the University of Toronto. His research primarily focuses on the design, performance assessment, and rehabilitation of reinforced and prestressed concrete structures. He employs hybrid numerical-experimental simulation techniques and nonlinear finite element analysis to model the behavior of modern concrete structures, including Fiber Reinforced Concrete (FRC) and Smart Composite materials. In addition to his research, he is actively involved in teaching various engineering mechanics and structural design courses, guiding students in their academic and research endeavors.
