Biography

Vaishnavi Ananthanarayanan is a Senior Lecturer and Group Leader at EMBL Australia, affiliated with the School of Medical Sciences at the University of New South Wales. She was elected an Associate of the Indian Academy of Sciences in 2018 and inducted into the European Molecular Biology Organization as a Young Investigator. Her research has significant implications in understanding diseases, including neurodegeneration and cancer, by unraveling the intricate mechanisms of motor protein regulation. Vaishnavi actively promotes gender diversity in science through initiatives like BiasWatchIndia.
