Valentina Mazzucato is a Professor of Globalisation and Development at Maastricht University, where she founded and directed the research programme on Globalisation, Transnationalism, and Development from 2012 to 2020. Mazzucato earned her BA from Williams College in Political Science and French Literature before obtaining her MSc in Agricultural Economics from Michigan State University and her PhD in Tropical Agriculture from Wageningen Agricultural University.
