Biography

Vanessa Bachir has been an optometrist since 2011, graduating from the School of Optometry at the Université de Montréal. She also graduated from the SUNY State College of Optometry, specializing in Ocular Disease in 2012 and obtained a Master's in Vision Science from Université de Montréal. Her research focuses on all aspects of eye health, with a particular interest in neuro-optometry and visual impairments resulting from traumatic brain injuries. She is responsible for the neuro-optometry module at her institution and also engages in the dry eye clinic. Vanessa teaches clinical use of therapeutic agents, visual pathway impairments related to neurological issues, and ocular motility imbalances to students and contributes regularly to continuing education for optometrists in Quebec.
